Worship Services
Beginning June 1, 8:00 a.m. and 10:00
a.m.
Communion at 8:00 a.m. every Sunday at both services the
first and third Sundays. Nursery at 10:00 a.m.
At the 10:00 a.m. hour beginning June 1 the Children's Program will
be Summer Adventures In Learning (2 yrs. through those who have completed
Kindergarten) and Summer Sundays (grades 1-4).

Youth and Family
Summer
Sundays are Coming
Sundays, June 1 - August 17, 2008
This program is
for children who have completed 1st - 4th grades and is a parent
co-op program. Our theme this year is "Bible Friends and
Heroes" as we follow the characters of Macky, Portia and
Rebecca through stories of Old Testament heroes and New Testament
friends. All parents are asked to assist at least one Sunday during
the summer and one adult is needed to lead the activities. Please
contact Jane Messacar if you can be a leader for one or two Sundays.
Preschool
Registration
Preschool Registration is open
and will continue until classes are full. Register early to get
the class you need! Many of our classes fill quickly, so we encourage
you to enroll early to be assured of the class you want. King
of Glory's preschool provides a warm and loving environment for
children. Our classes include games, cooking, outdoor play, creative
arts and crafts, science activities rhythm and music, language
development, story times and field trips. Observation visits are
welcomed and encouraged.
Classes are offered for children ages 2 1/2 thru pre-kindergarten.
Mornings and afternoons. Registration fee is $70.00. Please be
sure the office has a current, up-to-date copy of your child's
immunization record when you register. More on preschool

Beach
Camp Information
Junior High Week is July 13 - 18,
2008
Cost is $500 (which
includes transportation to beach camp and camp registration fees).
$100.00 is
non-refundable deposit. Do not miss this opportunity.

ELCA
Youth Gathering, New Orleans
2009

Get ready for a great week in New Orleans at the ELCA Youth Gathering. You will have an opportunity to meet 36,000 youth and adults from around the country and world, in the evening gather in the New Orleans Superdome to hear wonderful speakers and music, continue to help in the rebuiding of New Orleans, spend time learning and growing in faith, and spend time getting to your fellow KOG youth and adults. Look for more information as we get close to August and September.
A non-refundable deposit of $125 is due on September 10. Contact Kari with questions.
7th - 12th Graders Big Surf Day
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 - Noon - 4:00 p.m.
As the weather gets hotter, come for an afternoon of fun in the water at Big Surf!!! $26.00 pay at the door. 1500 N. McClintock, Tempe, AZ 8528. You can also go to the website to download a coupon for money off at www.golfland.com. Friends are always welcomed. Sign up at the Welcome Center by July 20. Contact Kari with questions.

Outreach
Paz de Cristo
August 10 from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m.
Each month volunteers from KOG prepare meals, serve and clean up at Paz de Cristo, a community-based organization located near Broadway and Country Club in Mesa. YOU can become a part of this rewarding experience, too. Sign up at the Welcome Center on Sundays or call the church office weekdays. We need 16 volunteers each month.

Game time is 5:10 p.m. Don't miss this great opportunity to attend the Diamonbacks vs. the Florida Marlins. Ticket price is $14.00 each. KOG will be seated together in section 221. It's Eric Byrnes bobblehead giveaway night! Pick up a flyer in the narthex, Welcome Center or church office.

2 years through 4th grade confirmation are available at 10:00 a.m. At the 10:00 a.m.worship service,
all children (2 years - Crossover) come to worship for first 20
minutes, then will be dismissed to their classes. |
