King of Glory Preschool is hosting another great summer of fun at our annual Kids’ Camp. Kids’ Camp is for children ages three to five years old and will have many fun, developmentally appropriate crafts and activities to help children explore and learn in a positive, loving environment. Each camp session is taught by two of our wonderful, well qualified preschool teachers with the teacher/student ratio being one to eight. Each week has a specific theme and your child may attend one or both of the sessions offered.

  • Dates and times for Kids’ Camp 2014 are listed below.
  • Session One June 10, 11 and 12 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Session Two June 17, 18 and 19 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Each session costs $60.00. Every child who registers for Kids’ Camp must complete an emergency card, a camp registration form, and submit a current set of immunization records to the preschool. All children need to be potty trained.

Remember, all preschool children are required to have the Hepatitis A vaccine and the Chicken Pox vaccine for school entry.
  • For registration to be complete, your child needs a completed emergency card, official immunization records and a signed parent agreement, which is a part of the registration form, on file along with the registration fee.

Parent Involvement:

Parents assume an active role in enjoying their child’s learning experience by helping in their classroom throughout the school year. This is an important part of our preschool program and your child’s first school experience. By periodically being in their child’s classroom, parents are able to enjoy a time of sharing various learning experiences with their child and their child is given the chance to show the parent different aspects of their school that they think are special. If parents work full-time, other arrangements can be made. The number of days a week an enrolled child is in school determines how many days a year the parent helps in the classroom.

Our Preschool Program:

King of Glory Preschool is committed to providing a positive first school experience within a Christian environment of understanding, acceptance and love. We understand the importance of these early years and our staff here is focused on the uniqueness and well-being of each child. We are satisfied with nothing less than the highest quality in our program.

This goal of high quality is achieved through the following standards:

  • Hiring dedicated and talented early childhood teachers.
  • Providing an environment rich in age appropriate and safe materials for exploration.
  • Maintaining a staff of nurturing teachers who smile, sing, hug and come to your child with the heart of a mother.
  • Supporting the development of the whole child, including their spiritual growth.
  • Creating a partnership between our parents, our teachers and God.

Class Curriculum:

Each class at King of Glory Preschool follows a curriculum plan that is filled with developmentally appropriate activities that cover the core concepts listed in the Arizona Early Learning Standards. As your child progresses through each of the classes, they will be provided the opportunity to build on the skills they acquired the year before thus deepening their learning experience as they mature and reinforcing their readiness skills so they are prepared for future success in their next school environment.

As your child develops throughout the year, there are certain physical, emotional/social, and cognitive skills they will be encouraged to master by the end of the school year. In our loving, hands-on environment, your child will be given many fun opportunities to explore various learning concepts and healthy ways to interact socially with their peers. Each classroom is filled with other meaningful experiences such as music, show and tell, and interactive poems.

The fours and pre-kindergarten class will enjoy exploring phonemic awareness with the Zoo Phonics program. This program meets your child at their current skill level and introduces them to each letter sound in a fun and meaningful way. The pre-kindergarten classes also enjoy exploring different educational concepts in the areas of mathmatics, science and language.

Infused in every aspect of our program is our love for God and the desire to include Him and His principles in everything we do. We offer a strong bible curriculum where your child will learn many classic bible stories as well as simple and meaningful bible verses. Once a year, the children celebrate “Bible Alive” where they take the entire class day to focus on several significant stories from the bible and dress up as their favorite bible person.

Lunch Bunch:

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This is a lunch program offered to our preschool children 3 to 5 years old. Children bring their own lunches, have an extended play time with indoor and outdoor activities as well as story time. The children will be supervised by two staff members. Parents sign up for Lunch Bunch on a daily basis in the preschool office. Fees for Lunch Bunch are $6 a day for morning students and $3 a day for afternoon students.
