What
is
Family Vacation Bible School Program?
| This year we
will join the fun at Power Lab – where kids will discover Jesus'
miraculous power! This VBS program has something planned for the entire
family and will provide fun and memorable Bible learning activities
for kids of all ages. Each day, kids will sing songs, play teamwork-building
games, take on a Daily Challenge, experience a thrilling Bible adventure
and create a craft. Kids will take part in a hands-on mission project
as we support Lutheran World Relief by making health kits. These health
kits will be distributed to refugees to help them maintain hygiene
while in exile. |

NIGHTLY
SCHEDULE
| 5:15
- 6:15 |
Dinner
at the KOG Power Lab Kitchen. EVERYONE is invited to eat a family-style
dinner which will be served nightly before the fun begins.
(Dinner is optional. Children should arrive by 6:00 for evening
activities if not having dinner.)
Adults who are not bringing children but are participating in the
adult class are very welcome to have dinner and meet other KOG families! |

- 8:15 |
Power
Lab Sonic Sing and Play begins with the opening celebration.
Then the kids break into multi-age groups.
Adults can participate in music and fun and socializing before adult
class begins. |

- 7:30 |
Adult
Class each night. "Some Neighbor's Religion." Roger
will provide a look at the history, and beliefs, important places
and people of five religious groups: Christian Science, Jehovah Witness,
Adventism, Unitarian-Universalist, Scientology. |

- 8:15 |
Power
Lab Faith Fusion Finale. Everyone joins together to finish
up the night. Parents are encouraged to attend with their kids! |

Turn
completed registration forms into the church office or Welcome Center
with payment. Register children by May 23, 2008 to guarantee
t-shirts will be available to wear during VBS week. Adult class registration
will be accepted through Sunday, June 15, 2008.

VOLUNTEERS
We
are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who love children and want to
spend time helping and encouraging children. There are many volunteer
opportunities available for young adults 7th through 12th grade on up
to adults.
Student
volunteers
- Use your talents
– have fun and spend time with friends and make new ones
- Great experience
– use on applications for NJHS, college, etc.
- Flexible schedule
– volunteer for the week or just hours before or during the program
- VBS hours will
count towards your community service hours.
Opportunities include:
Power Lab Crew leaders, station helpers, set decoration, music, greeters,
photographers, food preparation and more….
If
you are interested, download a volunteer registration form or pick one
up in the Welcome Center. Turn it in to the church office or welcome center.
