Baptism

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

– Matthew 28:19

What is Baptism?

Baptism is the beginning of a journey into a life of faith for those who are young or old, new to Christianity or long-term believers. It is a gift from God: unmerited, undeserved and precious. Baptism is a promise of eternal life with God. We become members of His family, sealed with the sign of the cross guaranteeing that we belong to Him. Baptized children or adults become members of our congregation and Christ’s Church. We invite you to arrange a Baptism at King of Glory and strongly encourage attendance in our New Beginnings Baptism Recognition Program. We encourage parents, sponsors and adults interested in baptism for themselves to contact Sherry Metzger at info@kogaz.org with questions about our New Beginnings Baptism Recognition Program or to request a time to meet with you to explain the importance of baptism, what it can mean for you and your child and to answer any questions you may have.

Who can be a sponsor?

A sponsor is a Christian who desires to be actively involved in the faith-life of the one baptized.
