A New Generation of Believers
At King of Glory, we have a collective heart that desires to pass on the Faith to the next generation and obey the call to “GO and make disciples”!
Through worship, social fellowship and biblical studies, we seek to create opportunities for conversation about God and how He is at work in our lives. Our desire is to encourage our youth to walk in a personal relationship with God on a daily basis. We do this by investing in their lives through mentoring and discipleship. Come see what God is doing!
Confirmation at KOG is open to all students seventh grade and up who want to be confirmed in their faith. This program is a fun and interactive way to build students’ faith and friendships. We dive deep into different aspects of the Lutheran faith and how they can apply it to their lives today. Students are asked to participate in community service outside of the church as well as with the group when those opportunities are available. Students that are confirmed affirm their baptism and are ready to be active members of the church who serve in many different capacities.
The KOG Youth Group (Grades 7-12) meets on various dates. Confirmation Class (7th-8th Grades) meets at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings.
Supporting our Youth is as easy as buying a Gift Card through the church instead of elsewhere. The KOG KA$H Program enables us to purchase the cards at discounted rates and then sell them for face value, so there is no additional cost to you. Through this unique outreach opportunity, the KOG KA$H Program receives 3%-20% of the card value (depending on the store’s policy). Stores included are Home Depot, Harkins, Olive Garden, Sprouts, Walmart, Applebee’s, Chipotle, Dairy Queen, Safeway, Kohl’s and Panera Bread Company. For a complete list and percentage for KOG, contact the Church office.
Cards from $10 to $100 are available for purchase in the Narthex on Sundays between services (except holiday Sundays) and in the Church office during the week. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
